Estimation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Petrol, Biodiesel and Battery Electric Vehicles in Malaysia Based on Life Cycle Approach

A steady rise in the ownership of vehicles Malaysia has drawn attention to need for more effective strategies reduce emissions road transport sector. Although electrification and replacing petrol with biofuel are being considered Malaysia, these have yet be fully evaluated from an environmental perspective. In this study, a life cycle assessment was conducted compare greenhouse gas different types transportation means (passenger cars, two-wheelers (motorbikes), buses) several powertrains (petrol, biodiesel, electricity) based on multiple lifecycle stages Malaysia.
